We are looking for reliable and responsible persons who can remain calm and work well under pressure to act as invigilators for our pupils during external exams, mock exams and controlled assessments.

This is a casual post with variable days and times, primarily in May, June, November and December.

Senior Science Technician

Place of work St Benedict’s Catholic School working across both sites within Bury St Edmunds so you will need access to personal transport

Required ASAP we are seeking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to join our dedicated science team. You will organise, deliver and develop technical services to the Science Department in order to support the teaching of a range of science subjects. In addition, you will supervise other Science Technicians, giving advice, setting standards and ensuring these are maintained.

You should have GCSE English, mathematics and science and a recognised qualification in science at A level or above or extensive knowledge of science/laboratory/technician practices plus sound working knowledge of health and safety regulations including CLEAPSS.

You should be well organised and have excellent communication skills. You will be used to working on your own initiative as well as being part of a team. This is a challenging, varied and interesting post in a friendly, supportive school which is highly recognised for its academic success.
