Monday 16th December 2019 - Alumni Lunchtime Careers Talk, Natasha Carlyn - Diagnostic Radiography. Natasha is a former St Benedicts student who is now working as a Diagnostic Radiographer in the NHS. Natasha will be speaking about her journey from St Benedicts in to her chosen professor. 

Tuesday 17th December 2019 - Year 11 into sixth form day.

Friday 10th January 2020 - Lunchtime Careers Talk, Engineering – Derek Langley, Design Authority Thales UK. Derek is a systems engineer and will be coming in to talk to students about the work he does at Thales UK in Bury St Edmunds, designing airborne surveillance equipment. Derek will be talking about the different pathways into Engineering and about some of the work Thales UK does across the world

Wednesday 22nd January 2020 - Lunchtime Careers Talk, Policing. Andy Pursehouse, Chief Inspector for West Suffolk will be coming in to talk students interested in pursuing a career in Policing. Andy will be talking about the different pathways in to the profession, the skills and qualities needed in policing and what life a as Police Officer is really like.

Thursday 6th February 2020 - Lunchtime Careers Talk, Chartered Surveying. Walter Scott is a Chartered Surveyor at Bidwells and will be coming into to talk students about his profession and what being a Chartered Surveyor actually involves. Walter will be talking about the different pathways into the profession and the skills and qualities needed to be successful in the work place.

Thursday 13th February 2020 - Year 12 University Preparation Day - The day will include workshops on: Budgeting and Finance (UEA), UCAS Applications/Personal Statements (UOS), First Aid (St John Ambulance) and Cooking on a Budget.

Thursday 2nd April 2020 - St Benedict's Careers Fair - The careers fair will give all students in years 7-13 the opportunity to meet with and engage with employers from a wide range of industries and professions, there will also be representatives from both FE and HE providers on the day.
