All Career Talks will take place during lunchtime unless otherwise stated.

Monday 10th October - West Suffolk College - Post-16 options talk for students in Year 11. 

Monday 5th December - Year 11 Assembly - Why Go To University. Megan Broughton, Higher Education Advisor from the University of East Anglia will be coming in to St Benedicts to talk to students in year 11 about the many benefits of a university education, and what studying at university is really like.

Alumni Career Talk - Medicine - Dr Henry Dunne - (TBC) - St Benedicts will be welcoming back former student Dr Henry Dunne to talk about his journey in to Medicine. Henry will be covering the pathways into Medicine, the skills and qualities needed, and what life as a doctor is really like.

Alumni Career Talk - Paramedic - Ed Dodd (dates TBC) - Ed is a former student at St Benedict’s and will be in to talk to students interested in pursuing a career as a Paramedic or interested in working in emergency medicine, looking at pathways into the profession and what being a Paramedic is really like.

Alumni Career Talk – Flight Test Engineer/Aerospace Engineering – Adam Pearson (date TBC). St Benedict’s will be welcoming back former student Adam Pearson to talk about aerospace engineering and his pathway into his current role as a Flight Test Engineer within the RAF’s 206 Test Squadron.

Alumni Career Talk – Theatre Directing and Performing Arts – Julian Bruton (date TBC). St Benedict’s will be welcoming back former student Julian Bruton to talk about is role as a Theatre Director, Julian will be talking about his pathway into his profession, as well as the many other career opportunities available within the performing arts sector.

St Benedict's Careers Fair to be rescheduled - The careers fair will give all students in years 7-13 the opportunity to meet with and engage with employers from a wide range of industries and professions, there will also be representatives from both FE and HE providers on the day.
