Who are we?
The Friends has been set up to raise funds for St Benedict’s and organise events to bring together staff, students, parents and carers as a school community. The money we raise will benefit all students and will be spent on equipment and events.
The Friends is a charity and as such is governed by a constitution, which sets out the way in which we operate and the rules which we must abide by. If you would like further information about the constitution, please click here.
The Friends are a group of parents and teachers who work together for the benefit of St Benedict’s. NONE of us are specialists in fundraising. The success of the Friends is dependent on the continuous involvement of parents like you!
Who is the Friends Board?
The Friends Board for 2019/20 is:
Fiona Green (Teacher rep, Year 8,10 and 12 parent)
Fennela Donnachie (Chair, Year 9 parent)
Michaela McAdam (Vice Chair, Year 10 & 12 parent)
Sharon Gormley (Treasurer, Year 10, 12 & 13 parent)
Tina Coffmen (Secretary, Friend of and school receptionist)
How can you get involved?
We meet once a term on a Monday evening at the Upper School Site. You can come along to each meeting, or just occasionally when you have time. You can help out at events or provide support behind the scenes e.g. baking cakes, providing donations for raffles etc. The more people who help, the more we can do, and the more the pupils of St Benedict’s will benefit. You can do as much or as little as you like.
The Friend are working hard to establish a calendar of events, and fundraising activities. We are open to any new ideas and support for fundraising or community events. View our newsletter for up to date information.
